Donations

GCDC graciously accepts monetary donations. Funds will be used to directly support our program.

GCDC is operated and controlled by the Goddard Employee Welfare Association (GEWA), a Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentality of NASA. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has determined that NASA’s exchange program (including GEWA) is a wholly owned instrumentality of NASA (i.e., the Federal Government). Therefore, GCDC enjoys Federal tax-exempt status. Donations to our program are tax deductible.

A receipt will be provided for all monetary donations.

NASA GCDC accepts donations via the link below. If donating by check, be certain to write “Donation” on the “for” line of your check. A receipt will be mailed to the address on the check.  

Welcome to the NASA GCDC Fun Run Fundraising!  
The children of GCDC will be running with the scientists, engineers, and staff of NASA Goddard in the annual GSFC Fun Run on May 1, 2024.  

All four- and five-year old children will run the full two-mile course, while younger children will have shorter races to get their bodies moving.  

Please note: The donation link is NOT to pay for participating in the race itself, but to support the children who are running. Make sure to include the name of the child that you are supporting below, so they can get credit for your donation!

Fundraisers

Thank you for your interest in supporting NASA Goddard Child Development Center (GCDC). NASA GCDC, like all independent schools, depends upon the generosity of our community to sustain and advance the mission of the school. There are many ways to take an active role in fostering the school’s mission of creating an early childhood program where children have opportunities to grow and excel in all areas, particularly math, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). This page outlines ways that you can help to support our program and helps us to maintain our tuition rates.

Combined Federal Campaign: 

GCDC participates in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) program to support our scholarship fund. The CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 200 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal, and military donors during the campaign season (September 1 to December 15) support eligible non-profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world. Please consider us when making your charitable contribution elections. We are listed as the Goddard Child Development Center. Our CFC number 76902. ​
